She is also a Visiting Professor in Practice at â¨Lancaster University.
Pierre joined Nicole Junkermann ten years ago and has since focused on building and monitoring NJF Capitalâs core technology portfolio, comprising more than 60 direct investments and 27 fund-of-funds positions, identifying early category winners ranging from Revolut to Rippling. Today, Pierre concentrates on late-stage investments through a special situations fund called Alto – a partnership between Private Equity Peninsula Capital (âŹ4bn AUM) and NJF Holdings – targeting hard-to-access, high-quality companies at later stages of growth, with capital deployed into Stripe, Databricks, Anthropic, and ByteDance.
Pierre began his career as an investment banker specialising in technology IPOs at Goldman Sachs, working across both London and New York within the Equity Capital Markets team. He holds a Masterâs degree in Economics and Finance from Paris Dauphine University.
Ryan is a UK-qualified solicitor who trained and spent eight years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, leaving as a Senior Associate in the corporate team. During his career, Ryan has advised a range of multi-national corporates and financial institutions on complex, cross-border M&A deals, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. Ryan also completed secondments to Freshfieldsâ New York office and in-house to Novartis, Switzerland. Ryan holds a Law degree from the University of Oxford.
Before joining NJF Capital, Pilar spent over two years at Monitor Deloitte, departing as an analyst in the strategic consulting team having advised companies on a range of strategic subjects across varied industries including FIG and P&S. Pilar holds a BA in Business administration from Lancaster University and ICADE Business School (Comillas Universidad Pontificia).
Michael Oakes is a senior communications and corporate affairs leader with a career spanning global journalism, aviation, professional services and investment. His background includes senior roles at The Economist, Virgin Atlantic, EY, Apeiron Investment Group and the Enhanced Games, where he has worked at the sharp end of reputation, narrative and high-stakes decision-making. Across these environments, he has advised founders, CEOs and leadership teams through moments of complexity, growth, and transformation. His experience blends editorial rigour with commercial and strategic judgement, shaped by work inside some of the worldâs most influential organisations.
Noah began his career at Analysys Mason, a leading TMT-focused consultancy specialising in transaction support for telecoms assets as well as strategic advisory. In his time as a consultant, he worked on numerous tower and fibre M&A transactions across Europe, MENA, and LATAM. Prior to this he read Physics at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a First. As an Investment Manager at NJF Capital, Noah specialises in quantifying investment opportunities from both a financial and fundamentals perspective.
William read History & International Relations at the University of London before completing his MSc at King’s College London in China and Globalisation studies. Before joining NJF he was a frontline police officer in the Metropolitan Police. As a geopolitical analyst, William specialises in monitoring the impact of geopolitical events on current and future investments. He has a particular interest in the politics of electric vehicles and batteries.
James joined NJF Capital in 2016, having previously spent twelve years working in Government with notable roles including Private Secretary to the Minister for London and programme manager at the (then) Department for Energy and Climate Change. James holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from Brunel University, London. James is the Senior Executive Assistant to the Founder of NJF Capital and also provides operational support to the NJF Capital team across the portfolio.
